#84 She-Knits What should we call that knitting effect?

We must come up with a name of the effect that occurs when you knit that results in a sense of calm....for me I will even go further to say it is even healing. Any thoughts on a name -
Knitorphins
Knitoooommmm
Knitease - no not Knit tease, Knit ease
Whats your thought on a name?

I am thinking that the next She-Knits Mystery will begin towards the end of January. You know it will probably be another bag- however I would love some feedback from some of you - would you like another bag, or a shoulderette, hat scarf, wrap or????

A poll with a prize!
I put a poll at the bottom of the blog (scroll all the way down) for you to vote regarding She-Knits next Mystery KAL.If you plan on participating in another She-Knits Mystery please vote so I can get am idea of what you lovely mystery ladies want.

If you want to be put in to the random drawing for a surprise yarn prize, please leave a comment about your poll answer OR you can make up a name for that knitting effect mentioned above to put in your comment OR you can answer the question below. I will put all people that leave a comment in the random drawing for a free bit'o yarn. I will need your Ravelry name in your comment so I can contact you in case you win!
Please vote by 11/1 as I will pick the winner to announce on 11/2.

How do you find your inner peace? You can also optionally answer this question to enter the contest! Short and sweet answers are appreciated.

#59 My shoe is full!

They're ba-ack! All my ankle bitting blood sucking wonderful fabulous so different yet all mine .....well sort of mine (are your kids really "your's"?). Man oh man I like having them all here so much it hurts. It hurts because its no longer the norm, 5 here is the norm , no longer seven. It is something that happens, I am telling you, your children will grow up and leave you...at least leave physically living in your house 24/7......sigh. But listen, I am not going to stew about it or feel sad even one second longer because the reality is it is the way it is and it is for the most part a positive thing. When kids can't launch , usually something is going on that is difficult.

I will announce winners of the contest in which you so kindly answered all my fiber festival questions a bit later today when I let kiddo's randomly pick you winers out. Check back to see if it is you and THANK YOU to all that entered!

Later.....

37 people entered so since I said i would pick1 winner per 15 people I am letting one of my children pick 2 winners by asking her to chose 2 numbers between 1 and 37. She picked 6 + 11 and so the winners are:
Anita
Feminist Knitter

I also gave an extra prize to CoggieTM because of her really brilliant suggestion about bringing a standing mirror because we women like to see ourselves! I think the mirror will help sell! Again thank you for all of you that took the time to enter, I appreciated reading through all of your answers.

CONTEST WINNERS and Episode #17

My new shop JUST for knitters is called She Knits for Knitters

My original shop for lovers of finished bags is Sheknits.

*** added after the cast...if you are knitting any She-Knits patterns come join the very first She-Knits KAL!!!

Coming soon, another KAL - CAL hosted by Marly of Yarn Thing Podcast and Sharon of She-Knits podcast. Details coming soon!

Patterns I thought were very cool but didn't want to do because they were either going to give me bulk-itis, The Tuxedo Jacket from Twinkles Big City Knits
or bor-a-mania, The Slouchy Cardigan form Knit Cafe. Having said that I think the books are incredibly beautifully done, the pictures are inspiring and I would like to make something some day form both of them.

Congratulations to Deb - you won the contest because your number was up...in a good way.... I will send you your requested prize from the prize list which is the kit for the Marly Bag Shorty.

I also awarded a second prize just kind of spontaneously to the 2nd number in the list from the Random Generator thing-a-ma-jig and the winner was Ruth Ann. Congrats Ruth Ann, I will send you the Marly Bag Originals kit that you picked as a prize.

Happy knitting ladies and please let me know if there are pictures to view of your finished bags.

Thanks to everyone that entered I received some interesting suggestions for bags. It seems the most popular one from my shop that people would like to see a pattern for is the Floral Bowling Bag.

Here are some bags from cyberland that others suggested they would like to see translated into a knitting pattern.

A teapot bag suggestion from Diedre

A D+G Bag suggeston from Valerie

Here is a suggestion from Debra of Javanutknits.blogspot.com

Wendy is a big Menga/anime fan she suggested

Aren't people creatively minded...and varied in test.... also crazy?
